Anthony F. Kokx, M.D. is a board certified surgeon experienced with cutting edge cataract surgery including light adjustable lenses, toric and multifocal lens placement as well as Iris reconstruction, refractive surgery (LASIK & PRK), and complex cataract cases. He treats a wide range of medical conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, dry eye disease, and blepharitis. Dr. Kokx is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons.
Dr. Kokx was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he attended Michigan State University for both his undergraduate degree as well as his medical degree. After graduating from medical school, he traveled to West Virginia to complete his residency program at West Virginia University Eye Institute, where he was exposed to a high level of complex medical & surgical management.
After completing residency, Dr. Kokx practiced privately in North Carolina for 2 years before moving to Denver in 2014 to practice with a large HMO group. It was there where he was promoted to Chief of Ophthalmology, a role he held for 2 years before joining Associates in Eyecare in March 2021.
Outside of spending time with his family, Dr. Kokx enjoys spending time in the mountains hiking, skiing as well as landscape and night photography. He also works with the Colorado Coalition for Homelessness, providing eye care to our community’s most vulnerable population.
