Dr. Eiyass Albeiruti, M.D.

Dr. Albeiruti is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment of cataracts and glaucoma. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 2004, and he subsequently completed his ophthalmology training at Henry Ford Hospital, where he was chosen to serve as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University.

Following his training, Dr. Albeiruti joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he practiced and taught in the ophthalmology department at the Eye and Ear Institute, helping to train many residents and fellows. He also conducted research in a number of areas, including laser and surgical outcomes as well as glaucoma imaging.

Dr. Albeiruti is a skilled surgeon who uses the latest techniques to treat cataracts and glaucoma, including in-office laser procedures and incisional surgery in the operating room. He takes pride in offering his patients multiple treatment options, incorporating modern advancements while maximizing safety.

After several years at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Albeiruti decided to bring his experience and skills back to the Grand Rapids area, a place he has called home since attending school at Forest Hills Central. During his free time, Dr. Albeiruti enjoys spending time with his family, as well as rooting for his favorite sports teams!
