    About Dr. Landon Karren

    Dr. Karren is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with 10 years of experience working alongside primary care providers and optometrists to deliver excellent medical and surgical eye care for all patients. He has a calm and welcoming disposition and is described as friendly, intelligent, and caring. Patients appreciate his engaging personality as well as his careful attention to detail.

    After graduating cum laude from Utah State University with a degree in Chemistry and Public Health, Dr. Karren continued his passion for the health sciences by conducting research at OHSU Casey Eye Institute where he published several papers on therapeutic approaches to uveitis and autoimmune retinopathy. He then attended medical school at Touro University Nevada where he graduated with honors and was elected a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi Medical Honors Society. Dr. Karren finished his training at Ohio University-Grandview Medical Center, completing a traditional internship and ophthalmology residency where he served as chief resident.

    Dr. Karren has traveled to Belize on a medical mission where he performed cataract and other surgeries for the medically underserved. During this trip he was able to restore vision to blind patients.

    Dr. Karren specializes in advance vision correction including LASIK, PRK, refractive lens exchange, and refractive cataract surgery. He is an expert in medical retina and has performed thousands of injections. He also performs minor glaucoma surgeries and ocular plastic surgeries making him a true comprehensive ophthalmologist. He uses the most precise techniques and technologies available.

    When not practicing medicine, Dr. Karren volunteers as Logan High’s mountain bike team head coach. He also enjoys skiing, hiking, golfing, and visiting national parks with his wife and four boys.
