Dr. Michael de Guzman is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Cataract and Glaucoma surgeon. He was born in Chicago and raised in Grayslake, IL.
He attended college at Marquette University. He attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Ophthalmology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens, NY, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. He further obtained his Glaucoma subspecialty fellowship at The Storm Eye Institute of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.
Dr. de Guzman is passionate about enhancing and preserving the vision of his patients. In addition to offering the latest in advanced intraocular lens technology for his cataract patients, he has extensive experience with several Microinvasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) devices.
