Dr. Tal Raviv is a fellowship-trained cataract and refractive surgeon with over two decades of experience. He is an internationally recognized leader in the field of refractive cataract surgery. In his private NYC ophthalmology practice, Dr. Raviv focuses exclusively on laser refractive cataract surgery and LASIK. Dr. Raviv’s laser cataract surgery requires no injections, no patches, and no physical restrictions after surgery. Dr. Raviv also specializes in high-risk and complex cataract surgery, and commonly accepts referrals from other ophthalmologists. Dr. Raviv is a pioneer in the use of microstents such as iStent and Hydrus at the time of cataract surgery for patients with co-existing glaucoma, a surgical category dubbed minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).
Dr. Raviv was one of the first NYC surgeons to perform femtosecond laser cataract surgery as well as ORA laser-guided intraoperative refraction for the most precise cataract outcomes available anywhere.
