Can Cataracts Come Back After Surgery?

A removed cataract cannot grow back, though some patients later develop a secondary cataract, a cloudy film on the capsule behind the lens implant that a quick laser treatment clears.

How Long Does Cataract Surgery Take?

Modern cataract surgery takes about an hour and is almost painless, and after a short rest in a recovery area, a friend or family member can drive you home the same day.

How Long Does a Lens Implant Last?

Intraocular lenses are designed to last longer than any patient will live, so your lens implant should not wear out over your lifetime.
