Dr. Deepak Sobti, a proud native of Arlington, TX, is delighted to be serving the community within Ennis County, bringing his expertise closer to family and friends. His journey in higher education began with obtaining both his Bachelor’s degree with honors and his medical degree from the esteemed University of Rochester in New York. Demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise, Dr. Sobti was appointed Chief Resident during his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Arizona. His formal training culminated in a prestigious and rigorous fellowship specializing in eyelid surgery at UT Southwestern, in Dallas, TX.
At TEC – Texas Eye and Cataract, Dr. Sobti leverages his advanced knowledge and proficiency in the latest surgical techniques to focus on cataract and refractive surgery. His dedication to excellence is reflected in his numerous research publications on cutting-edge surgical methods, contributing significantly to the field of ophthalmology.
Dr. Sobti’s approach to patient care is rooted in compassion and respect, treating every patient as if they were family. His commitment to lifelong learning and community service is unwavering. Dr. Sobti has been privileged to volunteer and teach cataract surgery globally, extending his expertise to underserved populations in Mexico, Haiti, Nepal, India, Jamaica, and Cambodia.
